This funding is for projects that support deaf children and their families.

Each grant is for 12 months and is intended to cover the essential running costs such as:

• venue hire

• transport

• promotional costs

• wages for sessional workers, interpreters and language tutors

• equipment that is essential for the project, such as play equipment or technology

At the moment, they are prioritising projects that support deaf children aged between 0 and 5 years old and their families.

Whilst Access to the outdoors isn’t explicitly within their aims, the grant does prioritise increasing the number of deaf children and families being able to access opportunities and has previously been used for outdoor activity inclusion (Bringing deaf children and families together through horse riding).
