Patagonia Community Grant Programme
Grant: Typically between $5,000 and $15,000
Funding Type: Project based / Core funding

The Patagonia Community Grant is designed to support innovative work that addresses the root causes of the environmental crisis and seeks to protect both the environment and affected communities.
They encourage work that brings underrepresented communities to the forefront of the environmental movement and confronts systemic bias, discrimination and injustice in environmental policy or outdoor spaces.

Masonic Charitable Foundation Grants - Special Educational Needs and Disabilities
Grant: Small grants up to £5000. Large grants between £10,000-£60,000

Bernard Sunley Foundation
Grant: £25,000 and above; up to £20,000 and small grants of £5,000 and under

A family grant making foundation which supports charities in England and Wales in four areas:
- Community - funding towards the building or refurbishment of community gathering spaces
- Education - including grants to educational nature centres

- Social Welfare - supporting projects for veterans, the elderly, ex-offenders and those in prison and schemes that enable people with mental and physical disabilities to live fuller lives in the community

The Movement Fund
Grant: £300 - £15,000

The Movement Fund supports projects which help remove barriers to taking part in physical activity within local communities. Particularly looking to support projects which increase physical activity through supporting people to get active, stay active or increase the exercise they do.

Fat Beehive Foundation - Digital Funding for Small Charities
Grant: Up to £2500
Funding Type: Project based
Registration Status: UK-based charities with an annual turnover of under £1 million
Diversity Area: Prisoners, Refugees, Young People

Awards small grants of up to £2,500 to help charities improve their digital presence. This foundation states that they are particularly keen to support traditionally hard-to-fund organisations, such as those supporting prisoners, refugees, or disadvantaged youth.

Pixel Grant Fund
Grant: £2500-£5000

Pixel provide grants for charities whose core focus is on the mental health and well-being of children and young adults. Their grants support specific projects that provide a measurable difference to a charity’s users. In the past this has included running therapeutic sessions and events, expanding existing mental health services to reach young people, as well as Animal-Assisted and Nature-Based sessions.

Alpkit Foundation

John Lewis - Community Matters Scheme
Grant: £3,000 shared between successful applicants

Every 3 months, each John Lewis shop selects 3 organisations to support, sharing £3000 between them. This funding is designed to support work that improves local communities through the promotion of sustainable livelihoods, education, enterprise and employability.

The National Lottery - Environment
Grant: Up to £20,000

Registration Status: Constituted voluntary or community organisation, Constituted group or club, Registered charity, Charitable incorporated organisation (CIO), Not-for-profit company, Community interest company (CIC), Community benefit society.

Funding available for community-led projects that improve the environment and help people connect with and enjoy nature where they live. This funding aims to strengthen communities and create positive change. It supports projects that meet one or both of these aims:

Sovereign Network Group - Thriving Communities (Strengthening Place) Grant
Grant: £1000 - £7500
Funding Type: Project based

Registration Status: Not for profit, Registered charities, CIO’s, CIC’s, Community and voluntary groups
Location: England - Sovereign Network Group areas are prioritised
Activity: Nature recovery, Climate, Wellbeing
SNG (Sovereign Network Group) is one of the largest housing associations in England. Their Thriving Communities (Strengthening Place) grant offers funding that empowers local groups to create sustainable, inclusive communities people are proud to live in.

Climate Action Fund - Our Shared Future
Grant: Minimum £500,000
Funding Type: Project based
Registration Status: Constituted voluntary or community organisation, Registered charity, Charitable incorporated organisation (CIO or SCIO), Not-for-profit company limited by guarantee, Community interest company (CIC), Community benefit society, Co-operative society and more
Diversity Area: Across diversity areas - They are particularly interested in projects that involve people, places and communities experiencing poverty, discrimination and disadvantage.
Activity: Climate
The climate action fund is focused on involving more people in climate action, helping communities tackle climate change, and supporting people to be environmentally sustainable.

The Weir Charitable Trust
Grant: Up to £25,000
Funding Type: Project based
Registration Status: Charities, Constituted Community Groups
Diversity Area: Mental Health, Disability, Limited Financial Means
Activity: Indoor and Outdoor Sport, Wellbeing
Grants that support services/projects, run by Scottish-based community groups and charities. The Weir Charitable Trust lists the following qualifying categories: Sport, Health, Recreational facilities.

South Downs National Park - Health and Wellbeing Travel Grants
Grant: Up to £250
Funding Type: Project based
Registration Status: Organisations and community groups
Diversity Area: Mental Health, Disability, Limited Financial Means
Activity: Hiking, Nature Connection, Outdoor Wellbeing
The Health and Wellbeing Travel Grant is to go towards transport costs for community groups wanting to access specific areas of the South Downs National Park.

London National Park - Ranger Project Funding
Grant: £250 to £1,000
Funding Type: Project based
Registration Status: Individuals - if you haven’t yet completed a Ranger induction with London National Park City, grants will be capped at £500.
Diversity Area: Across diversity areas
Activity: Conservation, Nature Connection
Application Deadline: 31st October
This fund supports projects that make London greener, healthier, and more connected to nature. There is funding available to support 15 to 20 projects from November 2025 led by or involving Rangers. This fund will support a range of big or small projects, including work with a community group.
Projects led by, or centering, underrepresented groups will be prioritised.

The Churchill Fellowship
Grant: Individually calculated

Application Deadline: 4th November
The Churchill Fellowship is a programme created to support people with the, “passion and potential to make a real difference to their community or professional sector”. They provide funding for you to spend up to two months learning overseas or online and support you to put your findings into action.
The grant covers living costs and travel costs incurred in the learning period (4-8 weeks). It can also cover the costs of interpreters, visas and vaccinations, as well as support workers if needed.

Wesleyan Foundation - Community Grant
Grant: £2000 - £10,000
Funding Type: Project based
Registration Status: Registered charities, Constituted Community groups, Companies Limited by Guarantee with charitable aims, Community Interest Companies, Co-operatives - registered Community Benefit Societies and registered Industrial and Provident Societies, Social Enterprises

Community Grants programme supporting grassroots charities across the UK to deliver community services linked to: Climate Action, Quality Education, Reducing Inequalities, Gender Equality, Good Health and Wellbeing.

Aldi Scottish Sport Fund
Grant: Up to £2500
Funding Type: Project based / Core funding
Registration Status: Registered community amateur sports club (CASC), School or Educational organisation, Religious organisation, Scout or Guide group, Charitable service fund of the Armed Forces, Community Interest Company
Diversity Area: Across diversity areas - including: Mental Health, Disability, Limited Financial Means, People of Colour, Gender & Sexuality, Age.
Activity: Indoor and Outdoor Sports
Location: Scotland, Fife, Perth & Kinross

Grants available for sports clubs in Scotland. This funding was created with the goal of increasing the positive impact it had on local communities, helping as many sports clubs as possible.

Co-op Local Community Fund
Grant: Minimum of £1000
Funding Type: Project based
Registration Status: Charities, Not-for-profits and more
Location: England, Wales
Application Closing Date: 6th July 2025
Supports projects that provide access to opportunities and resources for people to thrive - chosen by Co-op Members.

Green Community Grants Programme - The Wildlife Trusts
Grant: Up to £25,000
Funding Type: Project based / Core funding
Registration Status: Registered charities and not-for-profit groups based in England, Scotland and Wales. To be eligible for this grant, your organisation needs to have been operating for a minimum of 12 months and have signed annual accounts at the time of submitting your application.

The Green Community Grants Programme provides one-year flexible funding for organisations whose main objectives fit under one of these themes:
Contributing to nature recovery and responding to the climate emergency

OTB Foundation - Brave Actions for a Better World Grant 2024-2025
Grant: Total Available: €200,000

National Trust - Changing Chalk - Community Grant Scheme

Supporting grassroots, community-led initiatives that will help to restore lost habitats, bring local histories to life, and provide new experiences in the outdoors.

Millimetres 2 Mountains Community Grant
Grant: £250 - £5000
Funding Type: Project based/Core Funding

Application Closing Date: 24th February 2025
The M2M community grant supports established groups and charities who are breaking down barriers to the UK outdoors. In particular they are looking to fund work in line with their aims of using outdoors spaces to support physical and mental health.

Kew Gardens - Grow Wild - Community Programme
Grant: £2000

A grant to transform an urban space with UK native plants or fungi, encourage wildlife and involve your local community.

Tom Furey Memorial Trust
Grant: £5,000 split between successful applicants

Supporting people from all walks of life into accessing the mountains, whether that be for the mental and physical health benefits, personal enjoyment, a career or any one of the multitude of other reasons people enjoy spending time in the UK mountains, as well as further afield.

Manchester Carbon Literate City - Community Fund
Grant: Up to £3000
Funding Type: Project based
Registration Status: Community groups, Faith-based group, Charities, Community Interest Companies (CICs) or Charitable Incorporated Organisations (CIOs) and more
Diversity Area: Across Diversity Areas
Activity: Climate
Funding available to support you and your community in Manchester to take climate action, and support Manchester’s initiative to become the world’s first Carbon Literate City.

Wild Ingleborough - Access Fund
Grant: £500 -£1500
Funding Type: Project based
Registration Status: Community Groups
Location: UK
Application Closing Date: 17th January 2024
Providing small grants to help groups who experience barriers to accessing the countryside to enjoy visits to Ingleborough and the surrounding areas. Between 2022 and 2023 they awarded 18 grants to groups including: young carers, disability support groups, schools and community groups.

YHA Funding Opportunity
The YHA is excited to share that they have funding to support the costs of community walking events, supporting more people to get walking.
This funding is being provided to help community organisations put on walking events for their communities. They are able to support with the costs of YHA accommodation, transport (minibus/coach hire), and other elements of expenditure such as hiring a walking guide.

Climate Health and Community Fund
Do it Now Now is working in collaboration with Impact on Urban Health to distribute £440,000 funding in support of Black and Brown-led community organisations operating in the climate, environment and health sphere. They are specifically looking to work with organisations operating in the London boroughs of Lambeth and Southwark.
