Save The Date - The Outdoor Connection 2026
The Outdoor Connection is a face-to-face event bringing together community leaders who are working to support access to nature and the outdoors. Building on the success of our 2022, 2024 and 2025 events, we’re delighted to share that we will be gathering again in 2026.
The Outdoor Connection is an event run in partnership between Outdoor Citizens and All the Elements, with thanks to YHA (England & Wales) and Sport England. Other funders and supporting partners for 2026 to be announced soon.
The Outdoor Connection 2026 will take place on the 24th - 26th April 2026 - Save the date and register your interest now.

Who is The Outdoor Connection for?
This free event is for community leaders who are working to break down barriers to the outdoors. If you are thinking of setting up a group or you are already running a project or organisation in your community then this event is for you. Travel expenses will be covered and a daily rate contribution for attendees will be paid. Overnight accommodation will be provided.
We are limiting attendance to one person per organisation as previous event experience tells us that the event is the most valuable for everyone if lots of different organisations take part. If more than one person needs to attend to support accessibility, please just let us know. Priority will be given to members of the Outdoor Citizens and All the Elements communities. Spaces are limited.
When is it?
24th-26th April 2026 at YHA Ilam Hall (situated in the Dovedale Valley in the Peak District). We usually welcome guests from 17:00 on the Friday and expect to finish by 11:00 on the Sunday morning but details will be confirmed.
What will the event be like?
This weekend-long event creates opportunities for networking, peer to peer learning and capacity building. Offering a range of workshops and activities all designed to support participants to connect and learn from each other.

How do I apply?
Please register your interest by completing this form by the 5th January 2026.
Places are limited and will be filled on a first-come first-served basis. Maximum one person per organisation. Priority will be given to members of the Outdoor Citizens and All the Elements communities.
