Soul Trail Awards 2025 - New Award Ceremony Honouring Racial Equity in Nature

In November 2025, the UK’s first-ever national awards ceremony dedicated to racial equity in nature took place. The event recognised the individuals and organisations dismantling barriers to outdoor access for global-majority communities.

The awards were organised by Soul Trail, a Bristol-based social enterprise championing racial equity in outdoor Wellbeing, held in partnership with mental health charity, Nilaari Agency and hosted by outdoors clothing brand, Patagonia.

The focus of the event was to celebrate innovation, leadership and community impact, recognising those working to ensure people feel safe, welcome and represented in the UK outdoors.

Leanne, Soul Trail founder has shared, “At a time when nature engagement, mental health and environmental justice are highly under-represented, the awards celebrated unsung heroes that are leaders & change makers of their community."

The evening brought together funders, wellbeing practitioners, grassroots organisers, national partners and outdoor industry leaders—an unprecedented coalition unified around a central message: Equity in nature is essential, overdue, and achievable.

Winners recognised during the ceremony included:
